On NET Cancer Day 2018, we launched our Neuroendocrinologists of the Future campaign to help raise awareness of Neuroendocrine Cancer at medical schools across the UK. Volunteers held stands at the medical schools and handed out information about Neuroendocrine Cancer and shared their experiences of Neuroendocrine Cancer to aspiring medical students.
In the UK we are very lucky to have 11 NET Centres of Excellence staffed by Senior Expert Clinicians and Health Care Professionals. In order to maintain this expertise and excellence in care provision our Neuroendocrinologists of the Future campaign aimed to stimulate interest in the speciality of Neuroendocrine Cancer by building sustainability.
By raising awareness and providing up-to-date evidence based information, we hope to encourage our next generation of doctors to explore this speciality and hopefully follow our current experts into practice.
If you’d like to register your interest and become a volunteer for our 2019 Neuroendocrinologists of the Future campaign, then please get in touch.
