Planning and managing your finances can become more important when you have cancer. Neuroendocrine Cancer patient and South East Natter Co-ordinator, John Surgenor, has very kindly offered to use his professional expertise and skills as a Chartered Financial Planner to provide financial guidance to the Neuroendocrine Cancer community.
John’s approach to financial planning is shaped by his own life experience – in 2009 he was diagnosed with a neuroendocrine tumour in his small intestine, and was given two years to live. This very quickly made him realise one thing: time is precious and life is to be lived. John’s professional focus is therefore to help people live life to the full: he helps them to identify exactly what sort of life they want, and through financial planning, designs a plan to help them get there.
John holds the Chartered Insurance Institute’s Advanced Diploma in Financial Planning and is regulated through the Financial Conduct Authority.
John is providing his services on a voluntary basis and will be answering any questions on Friday mornings. To speak to John all you need to do is send him an email and he will aim to get back to you within a week.
Disclaimer: We are very grateful to John for sharing his expertise and time, free of charge, but his guidance does not represent the words of Neuroendocrine Cancer UK. If you are unsure or unhappy with any guidance given please contact us.
