The Different Types of NETs

NETs occur when neuroendocrine cells stop working normally and start to grow and/or behave abnormally.

They can grow in many places throughout the body and, like all cancers, NETs are named after the place where they first form – so if you have a NET that starts in your lung you will be diagnosed with a lung NET. Your lung is then known as the primary site of your cancer.

Below is a list of the different types of NETs that you can be diagnosed with. If you click on part of the body where you think your NET is you will also find more information.

If you click on the box below and select the name of your NET type, you will find more information about your specific type of NET.
