Gastrinomas new member

Hi my names is mel and I live in Birmingham with my partner pete .pete has gastrinomas with liver secondry. Is their anyone on here with the same .pete 37and suffers with sickness and sweating and gos to the loo 10 times a day we are under a liver consultant at the queen elizabeth hospital and we are finding it all hard going can any help us ,it would help if others with this cancer can share information and treatment with us thanks .

look on the carcinoid .org website and look for carcinoid syndrome, my husband has it and also suffers from the symtoms you describe
join the forum there to, it is the fullest information on the web

Thanks bilaire he was tested for that about four months ago they said the 24hoururine save came back borader line so he hadn't got that don't know if you can have both carinoid and gastrinomas. He was first I'll 5years ago when they said he had ibs and chronic pancretitus four year after they found a spot on his liver which was a secondary cancer of a gastrinomas they said.he had rfa to 17tumors on his liver and is awaiting to have more done they said he should be sick anymore or have sweating or diarrhoea any more but he does he can lose a stone in weight over night and he very tired most of the day .are these the same symptoms as your husbands

You should read the leaflet on gastrinomas which is available on this site - just click on the "Patient Resources" tab. A gastrinoma is a type of carcinoid and it produces the kind of symptoms your husband has.

Thanks tim we have already read the information his doctor just said we will keep u as well as we can for as long as we can .everyone on here seems to have scans and help with symptoms we just get esomeprazole 80mg twice a day he's 37 their must be more help for him .
