Best if we don't give up the day-jobs, though.

Hi, Everyone , its been four weeks now since my first treatment of Y-90, saw my consultant at my local hospital on Wednesday he checked me over , blood pressure back to normal, bloods are ok, so he said it would be ok for me to have my next sando injection.
He wants to keep an eye on me , so back to see him in a couple of weeks , still got to have brain scan on Monday.

Sadly afte 4 years of stability, my carcinoid is on the move again. Last year I had 2 lessions on my ribs that has increased to 7, with others possibly in the lung, not sure if the liver ones have grown yet, they want to study the scans more. My chromo levels have increased so need to start thinking again.

The Yttrium labelled is being looked into, as I am, but have decided not to do anything at the moment as I am not getting anymore pain and also don't want to mess my insurance up for my holiday.

Will go back in June and they would have discussed me in their monthly meetings.

Am getting more flushing and a bit more pain but nothing to moan about.

Have a good weekend

Hi Sally

That is not the news you wanted to hear after that long period of stability. I'm so sorry that you are now having to look to other treatment. What a !*&*@! as they say. You mention a holiday - whenever that is, I do hope that you will really enjoy yourself and it is certainly the right thing to do before deciding on the next course of action.

I really hope that the month of June will bring you something positive.

Look after yourself
Regards to all

Hi Sally

Wonderful - a cruise! We went on our first cruise on P&O Aurora but the Bay of Biscay proved to be my downfall! I do get seasick very easily, it has been known for me to have to get off a pedalo because of it!!!

So a cautionary warning, as it is your first cruise, before you go make sure you find something suitable for sea sickness, that won't upset the carcinoid. The brochures don't tell you that even though the ships are very big, they still roll about in rough seas. Of course, you could be one of those very lucky people who, like my Dave and most of the other passengers, sail away happily through any rough seas. Apart from that very small chance, I know that you will enjoy every minute and if you have problems with meal choices, explain to them and they will usually go out of their way to help. I'm sooooooo jealous - can I stow away in your suitcase?

Regards to all

Hi all,

Hope you had a good Easter, in more ways than one! Know how you feel Julie, I've lost so much weight I could practically squeeze the vein easier than have yet another blood test. Anway all seem to be going okay except I just can't kick the tiredness or diarr. Upwards and onwards, my weekly results seem to be okay and the lymph are coming up again after only a couple of weeks being low.
Are you packed yet Sally? The idea of going somewhere to be waited on hand and foot is idyllic. Pity you can't post photos on the site!

all the best

It seems that the tiredness and diaareah are so common for us noids and it is one of the things that I find so frustrating. Sorry your weight is a problem Maureen, have you been on the 'complan' type things from the docs, they helped me keep my weight up when things were bad. I don't want to go off topic but my heart is playing up now, so back on water tablets again, I must know every tile in the bathroom.

Keep smiling Maureen, keep in touch xxxx
