Kate and Jonathan are running the London Marathon on the 17th April, to raise funds for the Net Patient Foundation. They are looking for as many people as possible to sponsor them, so please dig deep into your pockets and let's raise lots of money for our support group. The links below will take you to the sponsorship pages.

I was diagnoised with neuroendocrine last May (2011) after numerous visits to my GP, hospital etc and ended by having emergency major surgery right hemicolectomy. Following surgery I discovered I also have multiple bilobar liver metastases. I must admit I felt devasted at first my GP practice has never had a neuroendocrine case and therefore gave very little support

Fortunately I discovered this web site and have received so much help and support from the help line, the conference in November and reading other peoples advice, support etc on the patient forum. There are certainly some wonderful, brave people on this site and I don't know how I would have coped without it. I now feel much more positive and am now back at work which I thought I would never do - most days I feel quite well.

My son is running the London Marathon in aid of the NET patient foundation and has written the following on his fundraising page. 'I'll be pounding 26.2 miles of the streets of London in aid of this worthy cause on 22.4.12. I'm raising money for the charity as they have helped my mum come to terms with being diagnosed with Neuroendocrine. They have been invaluable in terms of support and I know that this money will go towards helping others in the same unfortunate situation. Any donation amount will be really appreciated'

I feel really proud that my son Steve is doing this for our charity he is training really hard. If anyone feels like making a donation this is the site.

Stephen, my son has now raised £568.20 (£697.75 including gift aid) for our net patient
foundation. He is training very hard and ran 14 1/2 miles last Saturday, when it was freezing cold. I feel very proud that he is trying to raise money for the net patient foundation, and would be very grateful if anyone is able to sponsor him. The link is on the above entry.

In a couple of weeks I am due to have scan, 24 hour urine collection and bloods and am already feeling very nervous of what the results might be, I know everyone feels the same. I find read about other net patients experiences very helpful and have found out so much very useful information on this site.

|Many thanks.
